About Me

Hello I’m Emily,

What we eat has a huge impact on our lives so through my classes, food experiences, diet consultations & journalling I inspire people how to make healthy food and live life to the best in a relaxed environment.

Through eating a nourishing diet, removing particular foods and additives from my daughter’s and my diet I have healed our dehabilitating eczema. Having seen first hand how a change in diet can have such an impact on someone’s life I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with others.

Now my mission is to inspire others on how to eat wholesome foods, free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives which are locally sourced and sustainable. My dietary & eczema consultations, recipes and cooking classes revolve around this central theme. I truly believe by nourishing our bodies with quality foods, which agree with our bodies, we can live happier, healthier lives in harmony with the world around us.

Food knowledge is empowering and I want to instilling in others cooking and baking life skills which can facilitate healthier, more sustainable lives.

Through lockdown I gave cooking classes and saw children and teenagers grow in kitchen confidence along with self confidence and self-esteem. I know such food knowledge will support them throughout their lives. Additionally I witnessed an autistic child with a new found interest in food and cooking. While my own daughter, who struggles in school with dyslexia and dyscalculia, learned to cook, bake and her self confidence grew through the classes. Interestingly by the last lockdown, my daughter was creating and editing cooking/baking videos and posting them on her new YouTube channel! Truly remarkable learning.

With a degree in Economics and Geography, from UCD, and a post graduate in Business and IT, from DBS, I started my career in the Funds Industry. After 16 years I left to follow my passion in food, health, wellbeing and sustainability. I have studied Nutrition, Health Coaching, Neuro Linguistics Programming and am a Certified Project Manager (PMP). Most recently I have completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Creative Thinking, Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Trinity College Dublin. I give individually tailored one on one diet consultations along with family healthy eating consultations. Additionally I am a creator of digital content centred around food.

My husband, 19 year old son and I attended Emily’s baking class yesterday. We had such a fantastic time. First of all, we were unable to attend our scheduled time due to a personal issue. Emily was kind enough to offer to reschedule. Although I enjoy cooking, I don’t have a lot of experience baking beyond cookies. Now I can’t wait to go home and make scones and apple cake. I have much more confidence with that type of baking. More importantly, Emily is just a lovely person. She is gracious and welcoming.
